This item is 7.5 inches tall and the base is about 3 inches square.  The label on the bottom is ripped, but indicates it was manufactured by Bell Company in England.  Age may be determined as England now part of the UK, so prior to the organization of the UK in 1927.  So, it is probably over 100 years old.  It is in great shape and still works!
