Deck Theme / playstyle -  The 3 mechanics this deck
utilizes
is
life gain
, sacrifice, and forced combat.  The main purpose of gaining life is to then pay life using your commanders ability to draw cards.  Sacrifice your creatures to trigger various effects, in turn allowing you to use your commanders abilities to draw cards.  There are also various cards with deathtouch, allowing you to take down your opponents scariest creatures using your commanders "Bewitching Whispers" ability.
TL;DR - Use Shessra's "Bewitching Whispers" to force your opponents to block your creatures with deathtouch.  Use Shessra's "Whispers of the Grave" ability draw cards.  Gain life, pay life, and sacrifice creatures for value along the way!
