Description
Here is a nice doubledeck of playing cards with two different images by noted pin-up artist Gillette Elvgren.Gillette Elvgren
(March 15, 1914 – February 29, 1980) was an American painter of pin-up girls, advertising and illustration. Best known for his pin-up paintings for Brown & Bigelow, Elvgren studied at the American Academy of Art. He was strongly influenced by the early "pretty girl" illustrators, such as Charles Dana Gibson, Andrew Loomis, and Howard Chandler Christy. One image is a pretty naked blonde holding a towel and a red swimsuit. The other image is a redhead partially covered by a floral bolt of fabric. The cards have some age discoloration, but no chips or bends. Both decks are complete with 54 cards. The box remains in very good condition. No cards glued to the box.
