Description

Flooring Under Layment Roll Engineered Wood Laminate Floor Cushion Sound Reducer
This
Flooring Under Layment Roll
is a 4mm thick insulating underlayment made to reduce noise and help cushion flooring. By absorbing noise instead of deflecting it, it provides a deep, rich sound.
This felt underlayment is made from recycled fibers and compressed using a high heat manufacturing process. The film overlay protects engineered and laminate flooring from any moisture from the subfloor and includes an adhesive strip and 1-3/4-Inch overlap for linking multiple rolls.

FAQ:
Q:
I need this for an engineered floor. Does this pad have to be glued own or does it just roll out and float?
A: This
underlayment is meant for floating installations. The pad does not get glued down. No glue for the pad is required.
Where it meets the next piece rolled out, one edge has peel and stick flap to join the two. Nothing else to stick on this pad.
It rolls out flat. Although it does not appear to be heavy, when rolled out over the entire length of a floor, it stays pretty much where you lay it. It won't move if walked on while installing the flooring. Since the underside is felt, using an adhesives probably isn't the best anyways. Once you attached two or more rows together (it has a built in vapor barrier flap on one edge and a built in adhesive strip on the other), it's going nowhere.
