I am pleased to present you for sale these amazing old antique silver gold plated cufflinks from the Russian Empire.
The cufflinks are entirely hand-made, they are edged with solid gold plated silver and are decorated with high quality jade stone and cabochon turquoise. They are also decorated with the personal monogram of Alexander III – the Emperor of Russia in the period 1881 – 1894.
The cufflinks are made by the workmaster Erik Kollin who worked for Carl Faberge and was in charge of all Faberge workshops until 1886.
The cufflinks are marked with the respective Russian Imperial silver hallmark “
84
”and the initials of the workmaster “
EK
“
.
Such jewels were ordered by the Russian Imperial court to the court jeweler Carl Faberge and were personally presented by Tsar Alexander III on various occasions to his closest entourage and friends.
Very few people had the privilege of receiving a gift from the Emperor with his personal monogram.
The cufflinks are together with their luxury box.
