The CF Series of pressure filters are a great compact filter that includes a UV Clarifier and incorporates a backwash facility to make cleaning easy, without the need to remove foams or get messy. Each of these models has one inlet, one outlet and one waste outlet, each clearly marked on the filter. To clean these filters simply switch the grey slide on the filter over the 'Clean' side and the filter will backwash and pump dirty waste water out of the waste outlet. All Hosetails are supplied and we recommend connecting a length of hose to the waste outlet to allow waste water to be pumped down a drain or on the garden (waste pond water is great for the garden). In normal filtering the grey slide should be in the 'WORK' position.
Below is a guide for the size of ponds that these filters are suitable for, Fish stocking level will lower the how many litres these filter will be suitable for. Based on experience of installing and selling filtration systems for nearly 20 years we would not recommend these on Koi ponds. Koi are much dirtier than goldfish, shubunkins etc and will pass far more waste into the water, in Koi pond we recommend looking at the Kockney Koi Mega Filter range of box filters.
