Description
This brand new product comes complete with heavy-duty lever/latch mechanism and custom Clutch Holder Guide assembly which is made in the USA. The unique design of the guide assembly allows the lever/latch mechanism to work as intended while also keeping the cymbal from spinning. It is crucial when playing electronic hi-hats that you maintain the position on the striking edge of the cymbal. This is the perfect device for drummers that play double bass. This auction includes EVERYTHING YOU NEED to use this device on your stock Roland VH-10, VH-11, VH-12, or VH-13 Hi-Hat. Being that I have a double bass drum kit, I was surprised to find that Roland suggests that you use an electronic switch if you want to switch from normal Hi-Hat operation to a closed Hi-Hat function for double bass. If I am playing a gig and need to switch to a closed Hi-Hat sound in the middle of a song I do not want to look down on the ground for an electronic push switch. The push switch idea did not seem practical to me so I created this device to remedy that problem. This device does NOT alter any of the stock Roland parts. It is self contained and easily replaces the stock clutch holder that comes with the Roland VH-10, VH-11, VH-12, and VH-13 Hi-Hats. To mount this device all you do is setup your current Roland VH-Series Hi-Hat the way you would normally set it up. Then loosen the lock bolt and unscrew the stock aluminum clutch holder. Then replace it with this assembly. Hand tighten the aluminum thumb set screw and set the height of the drop clutch by turning the butterfly locking bolt, that's it. This device allows you to take advantage of every stock function of the Roland clutch plus now with the tap of a drumstick you can immediately drop the Hi-Hat for a continuous closed Hi-Hat sound. The unit ships complete with user manual and step by step instructions with lots of diagrams. If you have any questions at all please feel free to email me.
