    Description

John Deere Model A "Unstyled" Steel Wheels Farm Tractor
    Pen & Ink Print
The John Deere Model A was introduced in 1934 and made through 1952. It established some engineering “firsts” that became industry standards. Among them the adjustable wheel cleat, the one piece transmission case and it had the highest “under axle” clearance. Farmers welcomed the “A” and it’s variations, and it was the recognized Work horse of Mechanical farming. The Model A was the most popular tractor in the company history.
Bob Facklam was a “Pen & Ink” artist, known for his high quality work, especially drawings of vintage tractors. He attended all the large, Midwest Tractor shows, selling prints of his work. He signed and numbered each print. Many vintage tractor enthusiasts sought him out at the shows to purchase his prints. He did more than 100 different tractors. He also did other transportation items, like the first Harley Davidson and the first “Indian” motorcycles. Serious restorers of vintage tractors commissioned Bob to draw their custom tractor restorations for which he received substantial sums.
The quality characteristics and attributes of his work was legendary. It was his intent to do limited edition prints of 400 and 500 prints of his best works. However, he had the prints made 25 or 50 at a time. When he died in 2013, many of his prints had been issued in quantities of less than 100. We bought over 100 different prints in quantities of 25 each, the year before he died. We insisted on him also filling out, signing and numbering a “Certificate of Authenticity” that matched the number of every print we bought.
After he died, his vintage tractor prints became highly sought after by collectors and investors. We are proud to sell his work with the matching COA’s. We already sold out of several dozen of his prints, but still have over 1,000 of them with the matching numbered COA. See the rest of our eBay store, "Old.Tractors", to see over 100 different, Facklam Vintage Tractor Prints.
We are not taking advantage of the popularity of his work after he died, and held the line on price. That’s the way Bob would have wanted it. We sell them for .85 per print with its COA, or mix & match 3 or more prints (with COA’s) at a discount of 10%. This multiple discount offer and any shipping overcharge by eBay will be refunded back to your PayPal account by us.  Some of his prints we only have a few left. Order early to avoid disappointment.
All the prints were imprinted on acid free archival paper, 11 by 8 ½ inches. They fit a standard, matted 14 by 11 inch frame. We hermetically seal them in plastic on an acid free archival backer board for shipping. Domestic shipping cost is a flat .85 for as many different prints as you buy, in the same package to the same address.
