He used to save lives, now he has a darker mission.  It all started when Extus was more human, a few days before the bargain he made with a cruel arch-demon.  As a practicing doctor he would operate and prescribe medicines with a smile.  It brought him joy and a purpose. Then came the day his skill mattered more than it ever had, his own daughter came down with an unknown and deadly pathogen.  Her skin withered to a pale white landscape and the very life drained from her frail body.  Extus was helpless and broken, unable to  treat her condition at all.  No drugs or procedures reversed his daughter's illness. Before long, in a matter of a day, the girl passed - it plunged Extus to a new low he had never felt before.  Anything would be preferable to this feeling.  Even his own death!  When he made the attempt on his own life the knife in his trembling fingers froze in mid-air, in disbelief he could feel the cold iron tip of the dagger kiss the thin skin of his neck.  And yet, the dagger would not end his life.  Then came a powerful and mysterious voice.  It asked, "do you want the power to bring your daughter back to life?"  Extus was wide-eyed and glanced back and forth trying to find the owner of the voice.  He was alone..  The voice impatiently repeated itself, the blade touched his neck now and creeped under the skin drawing blood as if to threaten his ability to answer.  But he was able to mutter a response, "Of course, Of course i would!".  Suddenly a mysterious darkness entered into being in front of him and the lifeless blade dropped to the ground bellow.  The deal would be made, in return for the power to return his daughter from the grave he would eternally serve the demon until the day he died, and beyond..  To this day he remembers his daughter's face, he would make the same exact deal again, no regrets.
