Listed is a 1984 Puma Forsternicker Knife!
This knife sports a 5" full tang blade with a 1" fine tooth serrated section, 3.5" stag handle with wood pommel and an overall length of 9".The right side of the blade reads "PUMA, FORSTER-NICKER, NACH OBERFORSTMEISTER FREVERT, INOX.PAT, 1100503.BEST.NO, 3585.GERMANY, HANDARBEIT" and is serial numbered
18481
just above the pommel, indicating a 1984 date of manufacture. The stag handle is held on with 3 pins and the wood pommels are held on with 2 brass pins. The included leather sheath is unmarked but looks very similar to originals I've seen while doing research.
Although this knife is USED it is in great shape! There are some scratches on the blade but the edge is true and free of nicks or bends. The left side of the blade has one very small nick that I tried to show in photos and is far from the edge. The stag handle has proven durable and is free of any cracks, breaks, splits or otherwise any damage that would compromise the structural integrity of the knife. The included leather sheath shows signs of wear but is structurally solid and has a belt loop for convenient carry. This would be an excellent knife for the woodsman or the collector!
