I have been playing magic and building decks since 4th edition,
bid with the confidence that you will enjoy this deck.
Reaper King is your general, he is a 6/6 artifact creature with specials that give other Scarecrow creatures you control +1/+1 and whenever another Scarecrow comes into play (under your control) destroy target permanent. This deck is full of Scarecrow, Changeling and a host of other cards selected from a broad range of sets to maximize use of his abilities.
This deck utilizes a heavy artifact base featuring a lot of colorless cards with several mana and deck adjustment cards (Scuttlemutt, Signpost Scarecrow, Barbed Sextant, Wild-Field Scarecrow, Abzan Banner, Jeskai Banner, Mardu Banner, Sultai Banner, Temur Banner, Prophetic Prism, Spectral Searchlight) to avoid being hampered by its five color theme. Includes some awesome artifacts and artifact support cards spanning from way back at the Ice Age expansion up to more recent sets. Including Treasury Thrull, Moriok Rigger, One with the Machine, Spine of Ish Sah, Saheeli's Artistry, The Bears of Littjara, Birthing Boughs, Bloodline Pretender, Salvage Slasher and several others.
This deck has some clever synergy and features a carefully chosen assortment of spells and creatures that add to its versatility (including my favorite card to include in any Changeling deck, Tribal Golem) in addition to having cards designed to bounce the many Scarecrow and Changeling cards (Wormfang Drake, Depths of Desire), several to fetch the Changeling cards from your library and place them directly into play, primarily utilizing a Mercenary/Changeling or similar combo (Cateran Overlord, Cateran Slaver, Cateran Kidnappers, Cateran Enforcer, Cateran Brute, Bog Glider, Jalira Master Polymorphist,) and several to recycle creatures from your graveyard offering some needed longevity (Sanctum Gargoyle, Frantic Salvage, Remember the Fallen, Learn from the Past).
All geared towards utilizing Reaper King's special ability of destroying target permanent -- which makes for both a great defense and a great offense.
