Schrade 154CM Steel Loveless Style Factory 2nds Prototype Set of 3 USA NOS.
I was going to break up this set I got from the closing of Schrade in Ellenville in 2004, and probably could of sold for more individually, but decided to keep them together for nostalgic reasons. Will make a unique centerpiece to someone’s collection that will surely bring much discussion about the Loveless series.
I’ve never polished the brass or the knives. So they have the original patina. All have factory razor sharpened edge with tight scales.
All blades are assumed to be 154CM stainless. This is the earlier better steel than typical Schrade+ stamped. These have a heavier, denser feel in your hand. Like a real knife, not China junk.
1st of the three is serialized 2029. Tang stamped SHRADE USA.
2nd middle knife has no Schrade tang stamp or serial number. Probably not to many like these around. Probably the most sought after in the group.
3rd has Schrade USA tang stamp with no serial number. A unique feature is a small gap between where the blade meets the brass guard. The end near the lanyard hole looks like someone over polished the scales, still a solid and unique piece.
Sheaths are stamped Schrade USA and did not come originally with the knives. I have extras and included with the knives to protect them.
I wore gloves to photograph as to not leave fingerprints.
