Grapefruit Moon Gallery is delighted to have acquired a substantial collection of previously uncirculated vintage Brown & Bigelow pin-up calendar prints. These were carefully stored for decades by a former art director of the prestigious calendar company giant, who obtained them directly from B&B. In our many years of selling vintage pin-up we still marvel at the quality of B&B's vintage lithography, and the caliber of the artists who worked with them.  This collection includes examples by Earl Moran, Gil Elvgren, Rolf Armstrong, and Zoe Mozert, and will be a treat to share with fellow pin-up collectors and ephemera enthusiasts.
ITEM: You are bidding on a vintage original 1960s pin up print made for the Brown & Bigelow Calendar Co. of St. Paul, Minnesota. A very rare image, done toward the end of Gil Elvgren's time with Brown & Bigelow, this lithograph features a real 'Eye Catcher.'  Although there is a calendar pad printed on the backside of this lithograph with a May 1971, this particular print was leftover uncirculated stock and was never part of a calendar, and first appeared in the late 1960s. Archived for all these years by a former employee and is just a spectacular find to be sure!
