This particular knife was included in my recent book: "The Silent Bodyguard" and "El Guardaespaldas Silencioso". (check the photo included)
It has a 440 stainless steel single edge (factory edge)
    7 inches
    blade.
Many users put an edge on the false top edge as well.
Full Tang construction with Micarta handle and red liners. Overall length is 12 5/8 inches.. Blade thickness is 0.20" (5mm)
    The handle includes 3 Lanyard
    holes.
The guard is also made of stainless steel and includes the US Special Forces Crest on the left side.
On the left side of the blade you can see the Al Mar brand and the red Chop stamped on it.
On the right side ricasso you can see stamped Seki, Japan.
The knife comes with the original black leather sheath, but unfortunately without the sharpening stone.
To complete the package, the knife have the original box and papers.
As is, no returns on this item.
Al Mar is an absolute legend in the semi-custom/production knife world.
He served very early in Vietnam with U.S. Army SF; likely prior to disclosed MACV-SOG activities.
He went on to work for Gerber knives as a designer, then founded his own company, with the knives being made in Seki, Japan; a place with much history in fine blade-making.
He had an ongoing relationship with various SOF personnel for the design and manufacture of certain of their knives.
This knife was actually first designed for SERE school.
