The Woodman's Pal was developed by Frederick Ehrsam in 1941. It was originally a tool for forestry or agriculture. It was standard equipment for the US Signal Corps and has all the features particularly valuable for use in the Pacific or jungle areas. With three cutting edges, it combines - all in one - axe, machete, brush hook, spade and fighting knife.
This knife was used during WW2 as a fighting, utility, and survival weapon by the different branches of the armed forces.
