    Description

This Western model 628,  bird and trout hunting knife was made in the Western, Longmont plant in 1989.  The knife was purchased from a former Western employee.
These smallest Western bird and trout hunting knives have become one of Western's most popular models, with its small compact size.
They can be easily stored in a game bag or fishing creel.  It can be attached to a belt without catching on the truck seat.
The overall length of these knives is 6  1/2 inches, with blade length of 3 1/4 inches.
The fit and finish on these knives is excellent,  with highly polished aluminum pommel and brass guard.  The spacer pattern is typical Western design, and the handle material is jigged "delrin" made to look like jigged cow bone but more resilient.
The sheath is oak leaf design, and is in mint condition, with no missing stitches, leather cuts, scrapes, etc.
Do not pass up Western knives in mint condition, even though this knife is over 30 years old. These are getting very rare because of its condition and overall popularity.
Shipping is, as usual, very reasonable, and only covers cost of postage, box, tape, etc.
